In December we were contacted by a specialist diving team. They had seen our fantastic spider crane and wondered if we could help them.
The team were planning a job on the Docks of the River Aire in Leeds to inspect a bridge from underwater. Due to the high sides of the docks their boat couldn’t be launched from the banking side. Our spider crane was ideal for this use as it could get into the docks area easily, tracking across some cobbles which would have been damaged by a larger crane, so that the specialist dive teams boat and equipment could be lowered into position enabling their specialist dive team to carry out the important survey work on the bridges and the boat and equipment retrieved again at completion of the work.
Our spider crane was ideal for solving this problem as it could get into the docks area easily, tracking across some cobbles which would have been damaged by a larger crane. Once in position we were able to lower the boat into the water enabling their specialist dive team to carry out the important survey work on the bridges. Once complete our mini crane retrieved the boat and equipment.
Our spider crane is ideal for this type of lifting work where manual handling is not possible and access is restricted for a larger crane in a sensitive area. If you need something lifting feel free check out our mini crane hire service and we will be happy to discuss your requirements and if you think our crane can help you.
